Primary
At the primary level (ages 3-6), young children flourish with gentle guidance and the freedom to work at their own pace.
We recognize and embrace each child’s sensitive years, those special windows of readiness when learning new skills feels most natural. Our classrooms are thoughtfully prepared with hundreds of hands-on materials that invite children to explore, discover, and learn independently, while moving with ease from concrete experiences to deeper abstract understanding.
We go beyond traditional daycares or preschools by giving children freedom within limits, we create a safe and nurturing environment where they feel at ease to take risks, build confidence, and develop a genuine love of learning. It’s an environment designed not just for care, but for growth, discovery, and the joyful unfolding of each child’s potential.

Frequently Asked Questions

At The Montessori School at StarCreek, children aren't expected to learn on someone else's timeline. Our authentic Montessori Primary Program follows each child's individual plane of development within a carefully prepared, mixed-age environment where children are encouraged to make choices, explore independently, and build confidence through purposeful work. Guided by experienced Montessori educators, every child receives the freedom and support to develop academically, socially, and emotionally at their own pace.

Unlike traditional schools that place children strictly by birthdate, The Montessori School at StarCreek follows each child's individual plane of development. While our Primary Program typically serves children ages three to six, our experienced Montessori guides carefully observe each child's academic, emotional, social, and developmental readiness to determine when they are prepared for the next stage of learning.
When a child demonstrates readiness for the next plane of development, we can thoughtfully begin that transition-even before a traditional age milestone. Because our classrooms are intentionally designed as multi-age learning communities, transitions can happen throughout the school year rather than only at the beginning of a new one, allowing children to continue progressing when they are truly ready.

The Primary years establish the foundation for a lifetime of learning. At The Montessori School at StarCreek, children strengthen literacy, mathematics, executive functioning, leadership, and critical thinking while developing independence, responsibility, and confidence. By following each child's individual plane of development, our Primary Program prepares children not only for Elementary, but for lifelong academic success.
